Greetings! Welcome to Preserving Valor, the podcast dedicated to preserving the personal stories of American veterans.
Unfortunately, several things have intersected that necessitate me reeling in the visuals in the YouTube version of Preserving Valor. Copyright costs, equipment limitations, and time constraints have made it a Herculean task to create a video version of these stories that still honors these veterans.
Preserving Valor will continue to be shared to YouTube, but will no longer have the visuals that were included in the first two episodes. Hopefully, we’ll be able to return to the more expanded format at a later date.
Included Content:
June 1944 Newsreel
Includes footage of U.S. planes bombing Yugoslavia and Hungary before landing in Ukraine, Russian soldiers putting on a show for the U.S. aircrews, the first public footage of the V1 flying bomb, and more.
A Day in London
Colorized street scenes of London in the 1930s, including several angles of Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square.
Mae West - Mister Deep Blue Sea
From the film Klondike Annie (1936), co-written by and starring Mae West as Rose Carlton, “The Frisco Doll”, who escapes murder charges aboard a steamship bound for Nome, Alaska.
